Former President Mwai Kibaki being conferred with an honorary degree of Dr of Environmental Studies (Honoris Causa) and water conservation in Africa by the Maasai Mara University, Narok on 2nd December 2016. The conferment during the university 4th graduation ceremony is in recognition of the efforts the former head of state has initiated towards conservations of the Mau forest and other water towers in the country during his tenure as the president.
