John Waweru with Cabinet Secretary for Tourism and Wildlife Najib Balala during the World Ranger Day celebrations themed Celebrating Self Sacrifice on August 3, 2020. The CS announced the formation of rangers’ welfare fund with proceeds generated from naming of rhinos. First beneficiaries were the Meru National Park rangers.
