Description

Minister Of State for Provincial Administration and Internal Security, George Saitoti and the Region Center on Small Arms Executive secretary, Francis Sang (center) follow proceedings during the handing over ceremony of the arms brokering software developed by the United Nations Regional Centre for Peace and Disarmament in Africa at a Nairobi hotel on March 3, 2010.Saitoti said that the initiative came at an opportune time when the government of Kenya is exploring various strategies of addressing the problem of proliferation of illicit Small Arms and Light Weapons (SALW) in the country and he was confident that the output from the software will go a long way in informing the on-going government initiatives in the area of SAWL.
