December 29, 1972: Lt. Col. Jimmy Collins Kimaro is appointed the new Commander of the Kenya Navy by President Jomo Kenyatta. At the same function, the president bid farewell to the outgoing Kenya Navy Commander, W. Hall. Here, President Jomo Kenyatta (right) congratulates the new Commander of the Kenya Navy, Lt. Col.
